Jen's article about Asian American women poker players appeared in the June/July issue of Audrey.

Jen occasionally writes travel trend pieces for the "Your Time" section of TIME. Her piece about Mobissimo.com, "The Google of Travel Searches" in the Jun. 28, 2004 issue, rose to the #1 slot for "Most Emailed Stories" on TIME.com (June 24, 2004).

Web Sites

Have you been to Jen's blog yet? WrittenRoad.com is one part news, market leads, and advice for travel writers, and the rest is about Jen's life as a travel writer. Written Road was named one of Writers Digest's 2005 101 Best Websites for Writers.
"I like to tune into every couple of days to get a little glimpse of the writer's life by someone who's living it. She's not Paul Theroux, but her writing is sharp and in its own way more accessible (certainly less grouchy). She's real, and her colorful, slice-of-life stories are just plain fun."

"Blogalicious Feature - Jen Leo's Written Road," Erik Olsen, Gadling.com

Viva Las Vegas!
Jen is building a travel website based on the idea that anyone can have fun in Las Vegas. Even if—don't say it—you hate gambling. VivaLasVegasBlog.com is a full service travel website in the making. Hold on to your hats and glasses because Jen won't stop writing about Vegas until every rock of fun has been overturned. And that's not possible! There is an endless sea of fun in Glitter Gulch.

Jen is the first Feature Editor for HotelChatter.com. Recently reviewed in TIME, it's debuting with a bang. Topics range from celebrity spottings, new and notable, wireless digs, and of course reviews of the good, the bad, and the mediocre. If you know of any hotel goss that you'd like to be considered, send it to jen@hotelchatter.com.

Jen's missives frequently appear on the Travelers' Tales Flying Carpet.

During a seven month trip to Australia and Thailand, Jen maintained a travelogue on her favorite web site, BootsnAll.com. Her t-log, "I Wanna Be a Travel Writer" is still archived on their site and continues to draw positive responses. Two of her favorite stories from the t-log are:

  • A Prude in Patpong and
  • The Beauties of Brisbane
