09/25/2002 Entry: "Tell Someone You Love Them"
I know of two instances in the past week when I've held back from telling my friends that I love them right when I was feeling it. Why? No good reason. Sometimes it's difficult for me to say it out loud to people if I haven't said it that many times before. And I find that to be so ridiculous and no way that I want to live my life. It always makes my day when friends tell me they love me right when I'm in the middle of doing something they think is amazing. Why should I hold back from passing that on? Now, relate that to your writing. Think about how much better your writing would be if you didn't hold back; if you let your raw feelings come forward; if you truly and openly let your pen speak from your heart? That's where the good writing comes from. I'm going to try and do both and hope that they rub off on each other. Live boldly. Write boldly.
